The Remedy Mind
The Remedy philosophy of mind is silence and presence. Built upon the regeneration of the body and physical brain, our simple plan focuses on quieting the relentless thoughts that, let’s face it, are usually regrets about the past or worries about the future. Silence is the detox aspect of mind.

The proper function of the mind, from The Remedy standpoint, is to interpret present reality with as much clarity as possible and to guide the individual to appropriate action…in the Now.

We are fond of the Buddhist concept of “The Monkey Mind”; a metaphor for the constant chatter of the ego, which constantly seeks self-preservation, approval and self-gain. STS, or Service to Self is the primary cause of most of our nagging thinking. For that reason we advocate meditation as a way to “detox” the mind. You will find some sitting and active meditation suggestions in "The Mind Quick Start", below

Presence is the regeneration component of The Remedy’s plan. By training our minds to be aware of what is actually in front of us at any given moment, rather than what could have, should have or would have been there, we liberate our minds from the useless chatter, leaving it free to exercise its true purpose;
correct navigation of our personal reality, from moment to moment, based on clear and un-fragmented values. (We will delve more deeply into that in The Remedy Heart section of this website!)

When the mind is cleared to perform its intended function, it regenerates; creating greater clarity, focus and sphere of influence. The barriers to deeply held but long forgotten callings begin to fall as new connections are formed and old, unuseful ones fade away. A path forward comes into focus. We remember who we are and what we are here to do.
And those cherished but misplaced memories usually involve service to others (or STO, as we call it). They involve your unique expression and what you were meant to share with the world.

Don’t we all, deep down, have a dream of fulfilling our purpose? A special calling or capacity which we have always known would bring us true satisfaction? And isn’t that deep desire, for most of us, a desire to participate in the world by contributing our talent and highest good?
That is where our organization’s motto rings clear: “Surrender to Win!”
The proper function of the mind is to carry out the true desire of the Heart
We must surrender the monkey to find our Heart’s desire. The mind is the navigator of our vessel, but the Heart is the Captain and your Spirit is the map. The navigator sometimes hijacks the ship, but without a captain, he has no authority and without a map, there is no place to go.
