I have a Suspicion...

When I don't trust, I suspect.
I feel suspicious.
When I suspect something, It's usually negative.
We often don't suspect love, for instance...
It takes us by surprise.
Suspicion is the brain working overtime, using the handy algorithm of past wrongs and slights to protect itself.
Suspicion is a circle:
"I suspect that you suspect that I suspect...something."
It is a chess game between two opposites, two adversaries, two competitors.
Suspicion implies that the motivations of another are not pure; they are hidden and need to be deduced. It's "us and them"...and it divides people from family, friends and associates.
Suspicion seems logical. It is a survival function, after all.
It is what happens when the head takes over the heart.
The heart is built for trust and cooperation.
The head, thinking itself practical, assumes competition.
It constricts and finds ways to not do things;
To not risk, dream or dare.
Suspicion handcuffs the heart.
